Along with Froukje, Eefje de Visser, MEAU, Bente, Meis, Sofie Straat, and Danique, S10 belongs to a generation of young women who are making a significant impact on Dutch pop music in the 2020s. To express themselves as directly as possible, they (usually) consciously choose the Dutch language. Consequently, the lyrics are often deeply personal. This also applies to the singer and rapper, born Stien den Hollander on November 8, 2000, in Hoorn. In 2017, she made her mark with the two EPs "Antipsychotica" and "Lithium," titles that allude to her struggle with mental health issues. She received many positive reactions for the candid way in which she sang about it. In 2019, she more than lived up to expectations with the album "Snowsniper," for which she received an Edison Award in the "alternative" category in early 2020. The following year, her songs "Adem Je In" and "Schaduw" were streamed countless times. A creative impasse caused by the coronavirus crisis was broken with a trip to Sweden, followed in 2022 by the release of the album "Ik Besta Voor Altijd langs jij aan me denkent" (I'll Be There Forever As Long As You Think About Me). She collaborated with BLØF, Froukje, and Mula B on this album. Once again, it's an album full of personal songs. One example is "Jupiter," which is about a former lover. "Hoor Je Mij" (Hear You Me), taken from this second album, became the theme song for the 3FM Serious Request 2022. The record earned her another Edison Award, this time in the "Dutch-Language" category. The album also received a 3FM Award. S10's success story continued in October 2024 with the surprising announcement that she had created her new album with British producer Jordan Fish, known for his work with the band Bring Me The Horizon.
