They may be on the prestigious Sub Pop label, but The Bug Club remains delightfully gimmicky. On Very Human Features Titles like "Beep Boop Computers" and "When The Little Choo Choo Train Toots His Little Horn" are featured. The English duo is essentially an indie rock band—there's bound to be a killer chorus in there somewhere—but they often pull out all the stops: a heap of reverb here, some distorted vocals there, a boisterous tail. Anyone who enjoys being misled by bands like Crack Cloud and BODEGA will be happy with this one too.
