Het heeft even mogen duren: The Romantic is Bruno Mars' eerste soloalbum sinds 24K Magic (2016). Dat is een eeuwigheid in de popmuziek, al is Mars natuurlijk allesbehalve weg geweest. Hij scoorde megahits met Lady Gaga en ROSÉ en won een lading Grammy's met 'zijproject' Silk Sonic. De eerste single 'I Just Might' laat alvast zien dat Mars nog altijd uitstekend op eigen kracht kan presteren - en dat -ie de wereld nog altijd met hartjesogen aanschouwt.
