'Vreugde' was het sleutelwoord van de Wild God-tour. Sinds Skeleton Tree en Het Ongeval hing rondom de shows van Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds een rouwige gloed, maar op Live God vlamt het leven als zelden tevoren. We've all had too much sorrow. Een onbezorgd feestje is het natuurlijk nog steeds niet, maar het vuur waarmee nieuwe en oude nummers (met als hoogtepunten 'O Wow O Wow' en 'Tupelo') hier gespeeld worden, gloeit nog lang na.
