"Waxwork Records is thrilled to release THE SUBSTANCE Original Motion Picture Score by Raffertie. The Substance is a 2024 body horror film written and directed Coralie Fargeat. The film stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid. Its plot follows a fading celebrity who decides to use a black market drug, a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself, unknowingly giving her horrifying side effects selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival where it received a 13 minute standing ovation. Benjamin Stefanski, best known by his recording alias Raffertie, is a British composer and producer studied Classical & Contemporary Music Composition at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He received initial acclaim for his experimental electronic recordings. His electronic dexterity and classic songwriting sensibility have seen him become known and sought out for the enigmatic, emotive sound he has developed throughout his work as a composer scoring for film and television. Waxwork Records is proud to present THE SUBSTANCE Original Motion Picture Score by Raffertie as a deluxe LP set and across all digital music platforms. The album comes pressed to ""Activator Green"" colored vinyl and housed in a printed inner sleeve and heavyweight jacket wrapped in a custom printed kraft paper O-Card."
