Suzanne Vega - Flying with angels (CD)

Flying with Angels , the latest from Suzanne Vega , reminiscent of her most narrative albums from the noughties, such as Songs in Red and Gray , but Flying with Angels is anything but a throwback. "We're living in a state of permanent emergency," she sings. She also sings about the 'Last Train from Mariupol'. It emphatically calls for a word often misused: 'urgent'. But amidst that contemporary, almost punk-like din, we also find some more familiar odes to Dylan and Lucinda.
