After many wanderings, the German pianist Nils Frahm on Day and the newly released Night back to the intimate sound of The Bells and Felt . You wouldn't expect it, but Night sounds a bit darker than its companion. The reverb on Frahm's piano playing is more somber and invites contemplation. As if there were only two candles burning in his Funkhaus. Play softly. There are people sleeping upstairs.
