Hope is scarce these days. It was a close call that even Hang Youth would have made a cynical record. Still, the band managed to scrape the very last drops of hope from the bottom of the can. Something like that requires sacrifices. On their new album ER IS HOOP* Hang Youth therefore abandons the formula. With the help of producer Thomas Azier, they reinvent themselves. Because hope is hard work. Hope goes against all odds. Hope is completely crazy. But if you try hard for it, hope is powerful and dangerous. Something that keeps us going. The only answer to cynicism: ER IS HOPE.
