Some artists have to struggle for fifty years before someone finally makes a biopic about them; Kneecap took matters into their own hands. The film of the same name—now with a soundtrack of the same name—was an unexpected box office hit. It was the considerably embellished narrative of how the outspoken Irish republican hip-hop trio came to be. And of course, it was the music. Kneecap raps largely in Irish (that alone makes them practically unique), but on their best tracks, the message is perfectly clear. Those hits (including 'Parful' and 'CEARTA') are supplemented here with tracks from Bicep, Fontaines DC, Orbital, and more. CD / LP

New in

	Mdou Moctar 's latest album , Funeral of Justice , was a seething, scorching album, even for the band from Niger. Fear for the homeland and anti-colonial anger reached a boiling point. On Tears of Injustice You'll find the same songs in new, acoustic versions. Anger gives way to grief, and the resulting space sheds new light on the band's virtuosity. CD / LP
	In the early days of Spiral , DARKSIDE was still emphatically Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington's pop project, but on Nothing , the duo-turned-trio embraces the grooves. The familiar influences—psych rock, dub, post-punk—are drawn out more, supplemented with moments of funk and prog jazz. Vocals now serve the music instead of the other way around. CD / LP
	It's the inevitable path of any British post-punk or shoegaze band that an electronic album will eventually be released. This also applies to bdrmm . Microtonic features less feedback and far more synths. This doesn't exactly make for exuberant dancefloor material, but a bit of introverted swaying is allowed—considering your shoes or the grim world of the Hull band. CD / LP
	Panda Bear who makes an old-fashioned rock record. In his case, you could certainly call it an experiment. Sinister Grift This is his first solo album in five years, though "solo" is a bit of an overstatement. All the other members of Animal Collective are also on board, as is Cindy Lee. It results in a remarkably warm and to-the-point album. No more awkward sidetracks for a while. CD / LP
